Trimble Registration

CompasssTools Helps You Keep Track of Your Trimble Products!
After your purchase of Trimble equipment or software, registration is an important next step. In most cases, CompassTools will register your product. There are some who will need to do so themselves; we will let you know if that is a step you need to fulfill. Then, once your product is registered, we will track your product so we can inform you of upgrades and enhancements that may be announced later by Trimble.

For Self-Registration: If you are registering your hardware and software with Trimble, follow these instructions, and CompassTools will be able to track your enhancements and upgrades, to keep you always up-to-date!

Registering Your New Hardware

Getting Started – How to set up a MTA (My Trimble Assistant) account
Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on customer product registration under “Support and Training” tab
Click “Create an account” to the right side of the screen
Fill in required information. Trimble will send you a password
Return to login page and enter e-mail and password from Trimble
Click edit next to My Information
At bottom of page click “Change Password”
Change password to Trimble08*
Click save

Make sure you get your full warranty – How to register

Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on customer product registration under “Support and Training” tab
Enter e-mail address and password and click login
Click “Add”
Make sure “Add a new serial number” is selected and click next
Enter serial number and Reference if desired and click next
Verify that product details are correct and click next
Click ok

Hardware says it’s already registered? – How to transfer items

Your hardware may already have been registered to moc.c1508442721nislo1508442721otssa1508442721pmoc@1508442721noita1508442721rtsig1508442721er1508442721 so that CompassTools can ensure the full benefits of your warranty. If you would like your hardware transferred to a different account, please send a request to moc.c1508442721nislo1508442721otssa1508442721pmoc@1508442721noita1508442721rtsig1508442721er1508442721 with the following information:
The serial number or POPN of software – found on the back of your software package
The account e-mail address
Name of the registrant
Phone Number

Need to update your hardware warranty and need the serial number? – How to find serial numbers
Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on customer product registration under “Support and Training” tab
Enter e-mail address and password and click login
Scroll down to desired product in list
Serial number is in the center column under product information


Registering Your New Software

How to register your new software

Enter e-mail address and password and click login
Click “Add”
Make sure “Add a Proof-of-Purchase Number” is selected and click next
Enter Proof-of-Purchase Number and Reference if desired and click next
Verify that product details are correct and click next
Click ok

How to transfer items that are already registered

The serial number of the hardware
The account e-mail address
Name of the registrant
Phone Number

How to download new software or software updates

Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on Support A to Z list registration under “Support and Training” tab
Find software you wish to download
-GPS Pathfinder Office
-GPS Analyst
-TerraSync Professional
-TerraSync Standard
-GPScorrect
Click downloads
Most recent version of software is at the top of list How to find install codes
Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on customer product registration under “Support and Training” tab
Enter e-mail address and password and click login
Scroll down to list of “My Products”
Find desired product in list and click + to the left of the product name
Software Installation Code and expiry data appear under software name

How to find serial numbers
Go to www.Trimble.com
Click on customer product registration under “Support and Training” tab
Enter e-mail address and password and click login
Scroll down to desired product in list
Serial number is in the center column under product information
