If you are like most people that use Trimble GPS equipment with Windows 10, you may have had some trouble at some point over the past 9 months with connecting your device to your computer. We made a blog post containing a couple of work-arounds that can get the connection back up and running.
Now, Trimble has another option for fixing the connection. They have just released the “USB Switcher App” that you can load to your Trimble device to allow connections to your computer.
The USB Switcher app enables switching the mode that the GeoExplorer 7, GeoExplorer 6000 & Juno 3 series Windows Embedded Handhelds connect to the PC. You can switch between ActiveSync/Windows Mobile Device Center (the default) or USB Mass Storage. The USB Mass Storage mode enables users to transfer files without Windows Mobile Device Center.
